Working with a 100 KB limit

Start with the limit already set

Choose a still JPG, PNG, WebP or DNG image, leave the maximum at 100 KB, and select Resize & compress. The result includes the actual byte count, dimensions and format.

If it cannot fit

A detailed image may not fit at its current dimensions within the available quality settings. If the upload form does not require exact dimensions, allow smaller dimensions. Otherwise, keep the required dimensions and try another format accepted by the form.

Using this limit for a batch

Each image is checked separately against 100,000 bytes. A ZIP containing several successful images will normally be larger than 100 KB, so use individual files if the receiving form expects separate uploads.

KB and KiB are different

Here, 100 KB means 100,000 bytes. Some services use 100 KiB (102,400 bytes). A file below our 100 KB limit is also below 100 KiB, but the receiving service may have other requirements.

Three steps. Up to 10 images.

How it works
1

Choose your images

Select up to 10 JPG, PNG, WebP or DNG images. They stay on your device.

2

Set your limits

Add a file-size limit and optional dimensions. The same settings apply to each image.

3

Check & download

Review each result, then download images individually or together as a ZIP.

Useful answers

Need help?
What if my image cannot fit the file-size limit?

Some combinations cannot be reached with the available quality settings. Try a different accepted format, a higher limit or smaller dimensions if the receiving form permits them. We never silently reduce dimensions you explicitly request.

Will my image be cropped or stretched?

No. Enter one dimension to preserve the original proportions. Enter both to fit the image inside an exact-size canvas, with padding where needed. Padding is transparent in PNG or WebP and white in JPG.

Which format should I choose?

Use a format accepted by the destination. JPG is often useful for photographs at small file sizes. PNG is lossless and supports transparency, but can produce larger files. WebP also supports transparency. JPG replaces transparent areas with white.

Can I convert DNG RAW photos?

Yes. The tool develops DNG RAW data on your device and can save the result as JPG, PNG or WebP. “Keep original format” saves DNG files as JPG. RAW rendering can look different from the image produced by your camera or editing software, and some DNG variants may not be supported.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. Opening, resizing and compressing happen in your browser. The tool does not send your image to us. Read the privacy notice.

Can I process more than one image?

Yes. Select up to 10 images at once. The same file-size limit, dimensions and output-format setting apply to each one. Results are checked separately, so if one image cannot meet the requirements, you can still download the others. Each image can be up to 100 MiB, 60 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side. Total batch output is limited to 200 MiB. Very large images need more device memory and may take longer to process.

Does this check passport or application photo rules?

The tool checks file size, pixel dimensions and format. It cannot check composition, background, subject position, DPI or a particular organisation's photo rules. Animated images are not supported. Always review the result against your destination's requirements.
