Your images
The image tool reads the files you select and creates processed copies on your device. It does not send them to us. The tool uses temporary browser references; changing your selection or settings releases references that are no longer needed. Downloads you save remain on your device until you remove them.
Website requests
When you visit a website, its hosting server receives ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser information and the page requested. This is separate from your image. Technical information may be used to deliver the site, investigate faults and protect it from abuse.
Cookie preferences, analytics and advertising
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand visits to the site and Google AdSense to display advertising. These services may use cookies and receive information such as pages visited, device and browser information, and network information including your IP address. Google and its advertising partners may use information to select, measure or personalise ads, depending on your choices. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
Analytics and advertising are separate choices. Google may show an additional message to ask about advertising preferences where applicable. You can change your choices using the cookie settings link in the footer. Your image files are processed on your device; the image tool does not send them to us or to Google. See the cookie policy.
If you contact us
We receive the email address and information you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate the issue. Our legitimate interests are providing the service, responding to enquiries and keeping it secure. We retain correspondence only as long as needed for those purposes or to meet legal obligations. Please do not send sensitive images unless they are specifically needed and you have agreed to share them.
Your choices and rights
You can clear the site's saved preference using your browser's site-data controls. Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. To make a request, email us. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.
You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
